Ex-Files* features former collaborators recounting the birth, process and futility of their attempt at working together. An archive of texts and images, it provides a platform to reflect on ‘failure’ in regards to creative partnerships in the contemporary art context. Conceived by Michael Lee, this project was commissioned by and premiered on 30 Sep 2011 in Institution for the Future, an exhibition curated by Biljana Ciric at the Chinese Arts Centre, Manchester, under the auspice of The 2nd Asia Triennial Manchester.
